Eight years on the commercial side of esports: building the package, putting a price on it, defending it in front of the partner, and making what was sold match what the game ecosystem can actually deliver.

Since 2025, Product Manager at the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation: the federal eSports circuit, its two international events and the sponsorship offer around them. Before that, eight years at QLASH with clubs, publishers and brands. Right to work in the EU, available on Eastern Time hours.

01 · The ecosystem

One circuit, two international events, one inventory

What I run end to end, and what sponsors actually buy: the competition, the audience around it, and the branded space inside the game and on the event floor.

FITP eSeries by BMW

The Federation's official eSports circuit, played on Tennis Clash and co-organised with its developer WildLife Studios, with BMW as main sponsor. FITP is the first Italian sports federation to create a dedicated eSports membership.

Since 2026 the whole circuit runs inside the Federation's own app, through an integration with the game developer's systems.

How I build a commercial package

A package is worth what you can show, what it costs to deliver, and whether it can be delivered in time. Three steps, in that order.

Read the audience, then put a number on it

Before a pitch goes out I want the figures behind it: broadcast viewership, registrations and consent rates at the stand, impressions on the branded court. When a sponsorship negotiation needed backing, I was the one who produced the audience data it rested on.

Price it, and check it against the benchmark

I hold the cost plan under the offer: four trade-fair stops budgeted between EUR 53,400 and 97,400 across stand build, prize pools and creator fees. The same discipline runs the other way on inbound proposals, which I weigh against cost benchmarks and the KPIs they promise. Some do not make it through.

Make the sale match what the ecosystem can deliver

The hard part is not the pitch, it is the delivery date. When a prospective sponsor turned down a near-domination package, I proposed reselling the space and set the commercial cut-off at 28 August: the developer needs two to three weeks to change a logo inside the game, and the tournament started in mid-September.
03 · Before the Federation

Eight years of partners

QLASH, an Italian gaming and esports company: clubs, global publishers and brands from well outside gaming. I built the commercial side with the C-level team and ran 50+ campaigns and sponsored tournaments, including a EUR 50,000 sponsorship structured with a regulated gaming operator's legal and compliance function.

QLASH App

QLASH App · a platform sponsors could sell on

Tournament platform · 2021 · 2025

I oversaw QLASH's own tournament platform from MVP to a global product across mobile, PC and console titles, and supported the sponsor-facing feature that let partners open their own branded tournaments on it.

The properties the offer sits on

The Federation builds nothing in house. I am the single point between four external vendors and Legal, Procurement, IT Systems and Marketing: requirements, design and delivery reviews, and the call on what ships.

Three things I built with AI

This is where I experiment. I start from an idea, build an MVP and put it online to see whether it holds up. I work with tools like Replit and Lovable, and I build with Claude, wiring it to the external systems a project needs.

Personal project

Assistants for my own work

Internal assistants · used weekly

Built around the work that comes back every week and takes the most time: preparing briefs, reading long documents and pulling out what matters, turning meeting notes into decisions.

Grounded only in a knowledge base I curate, always sourced, and what comes out is a draft a person reviews before it is used.

In short

So what do I actually do?

I trained as an engineer and I ended up on the commercial side of gaming: writing the package, pricing it, sitting in the room with the partner, and then holding the people who have to deliver it to the date it was sold on.

What I am missing for this one: I have not worked on Counter-Strike or the CS2 circuit, I have no Arabic and no KSA experience, and my day-to-day tools have been Asana rather than Salesforce or Monday. What I do bring is eight years of the sponsorship ecosystem in esports and sport, and the habit of pricing a package I will then have to deliver.
